3D Printing (CHU)

The Besançon University Hospital has a multidisciplinary 3D modeling, planning and printing platform. This platform proposes to all teams of the CHU to realize, from data from medical imaging, computer-aided design software (CAO) or any other source to obtain standard 3D files such as .stl (or other):
- standard or modified virtual anatomical models,
- virtual operating planning from previously obtained anatomical models,
- printing of 3D objects (anatomical models, prototypes of medical devices or other) to optimize patient care.

To do this, the platform is equipped with 3 dedicated computer workstations, software that meets European regulations on medical 3D printing (CE marking), 7 state-of-the-art printers to print hard, flexible, transparent or opaque objects, in biocompatible or non-biocompatible materials.

This platform can also accommodate people wishing to carry out research work on medical application around this technology (internship, master's, thesis...).

The platform is located in the grey building at level -2, in the former premises of the bacteriology department (entrance in front of the sterilization unit).
